(More customer reviews)I bought these 'Betsey Johnson Terra Mary Jane Pumps' in the Black Patent Leather and I LOVE these heels! Such a *CUTE* Jazz Baby High Heel with 3 nice teardrop cut-outs & dotted detailing on both sides of each shoe & I love the satin ribbon ties, polka dotted insoles and pink bottoms. The leather on these shoes has an ever-so-slight crinkle to the leather as they aren't exactly a smooth patent leather. But I still think these are Awesome heels but are pretty high at exactly 4 1/2" tall and aren't the most comfy for wearing longer than a few hours. They almost make your legs feel like the circulation is being slightly cut-off due to the height of the shoe but what we do to suffer for fashion. I liked the look of these heels so much that I also bought them in the ~Camel (which are cute even though the bow color should have matched), ~Blue (still waiting for) and also the ~Red. The Red patent heels which I just received are just way too bright in color. I love classy red heels as they give a *pop* of color to what you're wearing but this shade of red almost spells-red colored clown shoes to me. I also showed them to my fiance' and he had the same reaction. I'm sure these aren't too bad if all you want is for people to just stare at your shoes and not really at you. I also own a pair of red patent heels from 'Oh Deer' (see reviews) and absolutely love that shade of red but these are just a tad too bright. These red heels seem more of a bright extreme cherry red and I think if I were to wear them out the first thing everyone would do is take a double take at these shoes. If they were just a tad toned down in red I would have kept them but I sent them back. I think the red being as bright as they are reminds me of cheap faux leather (pleather) shoes which is unfortunate because Betsey made a really beautiful shoe. I know if you can handle high heels then you'll love the black ones as much as I do seeing as black shoes goes with mostly everything. But, too bad they only made these in the 4 colors and not a nice bone/off white patent leather which would have looked great in this style. : )
